Well I spent almost exactly 2 hours at a favorite field. Got there at about 3 and left at about 5. Found 3 cast pewter buttons, one with a floral design, a tombac with a weird brown hue, a 1947 s Wheatie??, a small musket ball - not small enough for a buck-n-ball, a cut lead gaming piece, the 10th [yes that's what I said] - 10th cuff link set at this site, and a decent 1798 Large Cent [date is clear with the naked eye - well at least with my magnifying glass]. Hard to get a good photo of it. The reverse is far better than the obverse!! Some great social distancing....
Went back to the field today where I found the 1798 Lg Cent the other day again - me and Ang social distancing - drove our own trucks. I have had the 9" HF coil for the XP for a couple of years, never really used it much but have been focusing on it the last two outings. We have pounded this field and I still made some great finds. Set the Disc down to 1.5 [heard every signal in the ground] and Freq at 34.1. If you have an XP you should get the HF 9" coil [PM me]
Anybody who says the XP doesn't get depth has no idea. You have to set it up properly. The little batwing was at least 15" deep. The head on my predators shovel is 10". Check the photos. A couple of years ago using the HF 9" coil a buddy [who can tell you himself he was there if he wants] watched me dig an 1802 large cent in a hole that was armpit deep! Anyway check the photos, 5 musket balls, two tombac pewter buttons, one a tiny one, a huge dandy button, a clasp of some kind, a piece of lead or pewter with a floral design and a small 1 3/4" old style Batwing and a toasty 1885 Indian Penny.
