Years ago, Jen walked through the doors at VizyPay without knowing much about payment processing. Fast forward to today, and she's built a career around an industry she never expected to love. Even after nearly a decade, she's still learning something new every day and can't imagine doing anything else.

If you know her, you know she starts each day with a mindset that keeps her moving forward: "I Will Face Everything And Rise." It's more than just a lyric from her favorite song, Papa Roach's F.E.A.R. (Face Everything And Rise). It's a reminder she carries with her every day and a message that has helped her navigate both the highs and challenges life throws her way.

One thing newer team members might not know? Before VizyPay, Jen worked as a corrections officer in both Iowa and Colorado, which means she has more than a few stories up her sleeve. And if she could swap jobs with anyone for a day, you'd find her hanging out with the FinTech team, learning everything she can about their world. Congratulations on 8 years, Jen, and thank you for bringing your resilience, curiosity, and experience to VizyPay every day.

Sometimes the best trips start with a reason to celebrate. When Dylan headed to Minneapolis for a friend's wedding, he ended up with more than just a great weekend. This DTO adventure is a reminder that some of the best travel memories come from the people you meet and the small businesses that make a city feel unique. Q: What inspired you to take this trip?
A: We were there for a friends wedding

Q: What was the most memorable part of your trip?
A: I think the most memorable part of the trip was the wedding itself and meeting new people. Met other people who went to Iowa State University and one of them actually knew of VizyPay!

Q: What was the highlight of capturing a small business supported during this trip?
A: The Crooked Pint Ale House had the best smashburger I have ever had. It was essentially an In-and-Out style burger, was very good! They also had an array of b**r choices that I had never heard of. We also went to OTB Cafe, which was an awesome breakfast cafe. Their dirty sodas were great!

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give someone traveling to this destination?
A: Just like any big city, plan ahead! We hit some pretty bad traffic along the way, especially closer to the city. But, all in all, we had a great time in Minneapolis and will be going back for another wedding next year!

Jason Bahnsen joined VizyPay and quickly became the kind of person everyone wants in their corner. As our General Counsel and Chief Risk/Compliance Officer, his days are filled with contracts, regulations, and the kinds of decisions that keep a company moving forward with confidence. While most of us might see legal language and immediately start looking for the nearest exit, Jason has a way of bringing clarity to the complicated. He stays calm under pressure, asks the right questions, and helps turn complex challenges into solutions.

A typical day for Jason starts early, usually with a strong cup of coffee and a packed schedule. From reviewing agreements to navigating compliance requirements, he's constantly working behind the scenes to protect and support the business. What stands out most is the steady approach he brings to everything he does. No matter how busy the day gets, he's always willing to jump in, lend his expertise, and help teammates find a path forward.

When he's off the clock, you'll likely find Jason at a live music show, out on the golf course with friends, or cheering on college football. He's a fan of bands like NOFX and Radiohead, appreciates a well-made Dirty Martini, and draws inspiration from family, friends, and people who aren't afraid to be themselves. Ben is stepping into the role of Senior Director of Operations, bringing the same leadership that helped build our Implementations team into what it is today. As continues to grow, Ben will be focused on scaling his previous success across our support team, ensuring we continue delivering the level of service our clients expect.

Some people are known for what they do. Shelbie is known for how she makes people feel. Whether she's helping teammates navigate the day-to-day, sharing knowledge she's picked up across the business, or surprising the office with a homemade cheesecake, she brings a level of care that leaves a lasting impact. Since joining VizyPay, she's gained more skills than she ever imagined, not only professionally, but across the industry and in life. And if there's one thing that keeps her energy up, it's a playlist full of classic 2000s pop, hip hop, R&B, and country hits.

If Shelbie could trade places with anyone at VizyPay for a day, she'd choose Lan. Not because she wants a break from her own role, but because she loves creating memorable experiences for others. Planning events, organizing surprises, and seeing people smile is right up her alley. It's the same reason she enjoys baking for coworkers. For Shelbie, the best part is knowing she brightened someone's day.

One quote that sticks with her comes from The Lion King: "Oh yes, the past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it." It's a reminder she carries with her every day, using past experiences as motivation to keep growing. And while many know her as outgoing and social, she says she actually finds peace in quiet moments and solitude. Malcom came back for his second summer with the FinTech team, and this internship hit different the second time around.

This summer, he spent more time with the Data Team, working alongside Brandon and Aiden. Querying real datasets in the UAT Database built his SQL skills in ways college never could.

His takeaway says it best. College teaches you the what. This internship taught him the why. Watching how every department at VizyPay connects and how the FinTech team builds features that make other teams' work easier gave him a front-row seat to why the work actually matters.

Add the culture here, which he says nothing else compares to, and it's easy to see why he came back.

Proud of our Fun Ambassador Committee and the way continues to show up for our communities. 💚 1,186 school supplies left the VizyPay office last week to PLANT THE LOVE, a back-to-school event hosted by Collective Artistry and Barbers for the Future.

What makes us proud is the willingness of our team to support the communities we serve and find ways to make a positive impact beyond the workplace. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed.
