🔥 Prevent a Dryer Fire Before It Starts! 🔥
Clogged dryer vents are one of the leading causes of house fires — but the good news is, they’re completely preventable. At Pure Air Dryer Vent Cleaners, we provide thorough vent cleanings and inspections to keep your home safe, your dryer running efficiently, and your peace of mind high.
Yesterday, at approximately 3:32 PM the Altoona Fire Department responded to the Rock Creek Condominiums located at 1825 34th Avenue SW for a commercial building fire.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that to help prevent dryer fires, we have listed a few fire safety tips to follow:
1. Regularly clean out lint trays or screens and the dryer vent piping leading to the exterior to prevent the build-up of lint and other materials (bird nests, etc.).
2. Double-check your clothing for any items, such as lighters, v**e pens, rubber, plastic, and foam and remove them prior to washing and drying.
3. Don't overload your dryer. Doing such prevents airflow and causes excessive heat build-up in the tumbler.
4. Ensure to properly maintain your appliances by using manufacturer recommended parts and equipment and utilize reputable and certified/trained service technicians and companies to perform your repairs.
