In honor of this month’s Focus on Education Series, Come Fly with Me event, I wanted to reflect on something many of us enjoy: travel. The anticipation of planning a trip, the unexpected challenges along the way, and the memories that make it all worthwhile can teach us a lot—not just about life, but about financial planning as well.
I have been fortunate enough to visit some incredible places, including Tokyo, Paris, and the Great Wall of China. Each trip has provided unforgettable experiences and valuable lessons about different cultures, relationships, and personal growth.
Of course, social media often highlights only the best moments of travel. We see the breathtaking views, amazing meals, and smiling family photos. What we don’t always see are the flight delays, missed connections, unexpected expenses, or stressful moments that inevitably occur. Yet despite those challenges, most travelers would agree that the experiences and memories are worth it.
Financial planning can be very similar.
