Why work with a food hub instead of contacting Wisconsin farms directly? Mostly because of what happens after the first phone call. A district that wants Wisconsin-grown products from several farms would normally need to coordinate purchasing and delivery separately with each one. Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative aggregates that supply and brings it together through a single ordering and delivery relationship, so local food does not have to become its own part-time job.

Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative exists because Wisconsin farms grow more good food than any single buyer relationship can absorb. The cooperative model gives farms a way to reach schools, hospitals and other larger buyers together, without each farm having to build and manage those relationships on its own. That is the piece of the story we want to spend more time on this fall.

A food hub is not a single farm and not a distributor in the traditional sense. Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative aggregates products from multiple Wisconsin farms, then handles the ordering, packing and delivery so a school district can source local food through one point of contact instead of many. Position: CDL Class A Driver

Routes: Regional and local routes available

Schedule: 3 full time hour days and rest of week off. Days could be separated throughout the week or have possibility of 2 nights out on the road during the 3 days on.

Pay: $30.00/hour for home nightly option or $65000/year for out on the road option. Pay based on experience.

About Us: At WFHC, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and maintaining a strong commitment to our employees and customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate driver logs and records
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Communicate effectively and respectfully with dispatch, other employees, and customers
Qualifications:

Valid CDL Class A license
Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test
Ability to utilize and operate a pallet jack and/or forklift upon occasion
Strong work ethic and reliability
