Well everyone, deer season is here! You know what stinks? Deer never have Insurance, but that's why you do! 🦌
Obviously, hitting a deer is unfortunate but it happens and sometimes we can't avoid it. Never swerve to miss a deer! ONLY BRAKE. It is understandable that sometimes you're in the moment and react by swerving, this can cause more damage whether your run off the road or strike another vehicle.
If this happens to be an issue you run into,

FIRST - TURN ON YOUR HAZARDS - PULL OVER only if possible. Collect yourself, yes this is overwhelming. Take a second to calm down.
SECOND - Call the police and DO NOT go check on the animal, it may still be alive.
THIRD - Let the policeman arrive and assess damages with you; however, they may not be able to tell the extent of damage to your vehicle, that is why we are here. The vehicle is NOT drivable if you are leaking fluids, have broken lights, cannot open the hood, doors, etc. At this time you can call the tow truck or the policeman will do it for you.
FOURTH - Contact your insurance as soon as possible to begin the claims process, do not let them bully you into a photo app for an estimate, bring it to us as this will make the process a lot easier.

It is important to make sure your bumpers (front and back) are fully intact because, as many don't think about, the bumper is made to absorb energy from an impact in those areas and prevent further damage just like every cosmetic piece on the vehicle.

Want to know how we do the process?
ON ALL VEHICLES

We will take photos of:
- 4 Corners
- Vin
- Mileage
- Damage
These photos are taken directly into an app we use to write our estimates

Then we will have you come in, get any and all information needed. Our estimate writing can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on the amount of damage and we will then explain to you the repair plan of your vehicle.
We like to tell all of our customers that our estimate is ONLY a quote and can change at any time throughout the repair process if we happen to find any additional damage underneath what we had originally seen.

Steel (many different types), aluminum, rubber and plastic are the most common, All of these materials are well thought out for weight management (that will affect fuel mileage) and most importantly, SAFETY! When a collision happens, the manufacturer has a large say in what can be repaired (IF POSSIBLE) and what is required to be replaced even with minor damage.
