When I found out I won a year of free outfits from , I immediately went into my closet to make room for the newbies.

As you might expect, I’m pretty ruthless when it comes to decluttering my own clothing. I have what I would call a medium sized closet and I don’t switch anything seasonally, so what you see is what I own.

However! I’m a huge fan of putting clothes in time out, if you’re at all on the fence about keeping an item. We have a walk-up third story attic where I keep a bin of “maybe” clothing I am not ready to donate but I know I don’t wear it often enough to earn space in my closet.

If I don’t look for that pink tank top at all in the next 3-6 months, I donate it. Sometimes removing the “maybes” proves you don’t really need it. And if you miss it, you can easily grab it and add it back to your closet.

The other category I moved to my attic to create a ton of new space are all of the team shirts for my kids. School volleyball, basketball, and club volleyball teams aren’t in season right now, so they exited my closet until next season. Game changer for me!

We always talk to our clients about a secondary storage area for clothing. Mine is our attic and now that my closet can breathe easier I’m ready for some new Shop Privy outfits! ❤️

Kids’ spaces deserve to be organized, too! Creating a system, so all of their favorites can shine, is our jam.

We think in categories, and can see the final result through the current state. And we want it to feel amazing without being too fussy.

Playrooms should spark imagination—not overwhelm it. 🎨🧸

Before, toys were getting buried and hard to find.

After a little sorting, simple categories, and kid-friendly systems, this space is ready for creating masterpieces and diving into serious play.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when kids can easily see what they have (and where it goes back), they play longer, clean up faster, and feel proud of their space. That’s a win for everyone in the house.
