🚒 A HUGE THANK YOU TO CASEY’S! 🚒

The Waverly Fire Association would like to send a huge thank you to Casey’s for their generous donation toward our new life-size rescue training manikin!

This training manikin weighs approximately the same as an adult male, giving our firefighters the opportunity to train with a much more realistic load. Having equipment like this allows our crews to better understand the challenges involved in removing a person from a burning home, including lifting, carrying, maneuvering, and working together as a team.

This manikin will also be extremely valuable during vehicle extrication training, allowing our firefighters to practice safely removing a victim from a severely damaged or totaled vehicle.

Donations like this make a real difference in our ability to train and prepare for the situations we hope we never have to face. Thank you, Casey’s, for investing in our firefighters and helping us better serve the Waverly community! ❤️🚒

🚒 Waverly Fire Association – Thank You, POET! 🚒

The Waverly Fire Association would like to send a huge thank you to POET for their generous grant and continued support of our department and community!

Thanks to this grant, we were able to purchase 450 feet of new rope and three rope rescue pulleys for our rope rescue equipment.

This new equipment is replacing rope that is reaching the end of its service life and will help ensure our firefighters have safe, reliable, and up-to-date equipment when responding to rope rescue emergencies.

We are extremely grateful for businesses like POET that invest in and support their local fire departments. Your generosity directly helps us better serve and protect our community.
