Dear Shelia and Jim,

In the flood of things we are juggling this time of year, I wanted to pause and thank both of you for your help in making my office more comfortable. Your expertise and kindness (I can see right through Jim to see what a good soul he is) is so appreciated and respected. People always take the time to complain so I wanted to remind you of how grateful those you help truly are. Every time I sit down at my keyboard as I am doing wright now to take care of a patient online I think of your skill and dedication.

Sheila, I hope you continue your journey of healing. Your energy and spirit will get you there I am sure!

I was recently at my PT and she discussed
"The Golfers Lift"
The golfers lift should never be unsupported. It is the same way golfers pick up their balls.

The golfers lift is a technique that allows you to pick up items off the floor with minimal stress to the lumbar spine.
How to Perform the Golfer Lift
To perform the golfer lift you just have to follow these simple steps.

Use 2 points of contact to stabilize you.
Use a golf club, broom or the wall, in one hand to stabilize you as the 1st point of contact and the leg opposite the hand as the 2nd point of contact.
Keeping your back straight bend forward allowing the leg closest to the 1st point of contact to rise in the air behind you.

Pick up the object
While lifting this object off the ground look forward and drop the leg that is in the air bringing you to a standing position.

It is pretty easy and less stressful
