Greetings, My Peeps!
Candle curing time! This is such a sensitive topic! Some believe it takes two weeks to cure a scented candle, while others think it takes only 48 hours. I've been in these groups for four years, and the answers are all over the map. I've even contacted some of the wax manufacturers (I have email receipts!), and they told me it only takes 48 hours for the fragrance oil to bind with the wax and to solidify enough to conduct proper wick testing. Three years ago, one manufacturer even told me 12 hours. HUH?! Since we use this particular wax, I tested the 12 hours. He was correct; my wicking didn't change! However, I err on caution and wait 7-10 days anyway - even after using this wax for four years.

I was watching a video on YouTube of a well-known candle maker, and I recall this person saying they were at a holiday event and sold out of candles the first day. The maker went on in the video to say that they went home that night and made a ton of candles for the next day of the event.

Sigh! Some go down the rabbit hole to select a wax. But I get wrapped up in the science of it all.

Just do you, but make sure you make not only a safe candle but a good candle that will make them come back!
