What a gift to spend the day with so many mission-driven leaders at the Community Foundation for the CSRA’s Nonprofit Summit.

This year, Gateway co-founders Ashley Ashe and Faith Edmondson presented “How to Fund the Talent Behind Your Mission,” a session centered on something we care deeply about: helping nonprofits build the operational strength they need to keep serving well.

Too often, nonprofit teams are expected to do big, life-changing work with limited capacity and underfunded staff support. But strong missions require strong teams — and strong teams need sustainable funding. Ashley and Faith shared practical insight on how organizations can better include staffing and operational needs in their grant strategy.

One of the best parts of the day was getting to see so many of our current clients in person, celebrate the work they’re doing, and connect with other leaders who are committed to strengthening our community.

We left encouraged, grateful, and reminded once again why this work matters: helping the people who are helping the people. 💙
