Public Service Announcement! December 7, 2024.
On Thursday our little team took on one of our projects that ment a lot to our team but even more to the owners of this mobile home. They had been running on a generator for 9 weeks. Reason being he didn't have the money to replace the meter box because the water from the storm had submerged it.
He was spending $15-$20 a day running the generator, which at this point he had spent over $1,200 in gas. Thanks to a wonderful lady in Texas, she had sent me some gas cards and I had shared some with this family.
Thursday we completed our work and yesterday their power was turned back on. I want to thank everyone that helped. Our names don't matter because what we did, was we all came together to help our fellow human beings! It was 13 degrees this morning and they had heat. There's so much more to this story, and I don't want ramble on, but let me end this post with a enormous simple statement, "It was a God thing".
