Are you trying to be “Everything” to everyone?
Focused on a gazillion things at the same time?
Do you get distracted easily and are too optimistic about how long your tasks actually take?
Are you so overloaded with tasks and things to do in your business, that you want to throw your hands up in the air and just do nothing?
Here are a few hot things you can do right now to feel less overwhelmed and more focused. Its time to go with the flow and make some new choices and changes and let the magic happen!
Here we go:
1.Throw something away! Some projects are dead, they are no longer in your vibe and no longer suit your niche, get rid of them!
2.Clean and clear your desk! Make it fresh, add a plant to freshen up your space, its truly a breath of fresh inspiration!
3.Delegate- Ask for someone to do a few things for you to take them off your list! That’s what family and friends are for!
4.Figure out the time of day when you are most productive, and when you have the most energy! This is the time for you to tackle your to-do list and not be distracted scrolling through emails and Facebook.. ect..
5.Recognize the one thing on your task list that weighing you down. Do it first get it over with and cross it off! If it requires help or support because you are stuck, do it, ask for help, reach out and ask questions, just finish it & remove it off the list…you will feel like a weight is lifted.
6.Stop multi-tasking. Focus on one thing and work on it for at least 30 minutes straight even if you need to set a timer. If you find yourself trying to do other things and get distracted, refocus and continue on.
7.Meditate, relax, or do a calming excercise before you begin. Find your focus, and set your priorities at the beginning.
8.Write down daily tasks on a to do list. Cross things off the list and get everything out of your head.
9.Unsubscribe to everything in your email list that doesn’t excite you or makes you feel weighed down. Tidy up your computer desktop into file folders labelled clearly and delete anything that isn’t necessary!
10.If your entire day feels shot from procrastination, take a deep breath, change your scenery for a little while , come back to your desk and give yourself PERMISSION to start over! Get excited and celebrate what you have got done & how far you have come!
I hope these tips will help you gain focus and clarity daily, and loose the need for perfectionism. Recognizing right away that you are procrastinating, and distracted is the key to refocusing and plunging ahead!
