Every Feeding Journey Is Different 💗

Exclusive breastfeeding. Pumping. Combination feeding. Supplementation. Relactation. Transitioning back to work. Your feeding journey belongs to you and your baby. My role isn't to decide your goals—it's to help you reach them. 🫶

🤱 **Is your baby latched well?**

A good latch isn't just about what feeding *looks* like—it’s about how effectively and comfortably your baby is feeding. 💕

Some signs to look and listen for include:

👄 A **wide-open mouth** before latching
🤱 A **deep latch**, with more ar**la visible above baby’s mouth than below
👂 **Slow, deep swallows** during feeding
👶 A baby who appears **relaxed and comfortable**
💕 Feeding that is comfortable for you

Some initial tenderness can happen, but **persistent or significant pain deserves attention.** Pain, ni**le damage, or concerns about milk transfer are good reasons to have the feeding evaluated.

✨ Sometimes a small adjustment in positioning or latch can make a big difference.

Every parent-baby pair is unique, and you don't have to figure feeding out on your own. 🩵

How Often Do Newborns Feed? 🍼

Newborn feeding can feel CONSTANT—and often, that's normal! Many newborns feed around 8–12 times in 24 hours, but babies don't read clocks. ⏰ Watch your baby's feeding cues rather than waiting for a perfectly timed schedule. 🤱

When Should I Call an IBCLC? 📞

You don't have to wait until breastfeeding feels impossible to ask for help. Pain, latch difficulties, concerns about supply, slow weight gain, pumping questions, returning to work—or simply wanting reassurance—are all reasons to see an IBCLC. 💙 Early support can make a huge difference.

🏡 In-Home Lactation Support

Sometimes the last thing you want to do with a new baby is pack a diaper bag and leave the house. That's why I come to you. 🏡🤍

During an in-home consultation, we can work together in the environment where you're actually feeding your baby.

Whether you need help with latch, positioning, milk transfer, pumping, bottle feeding, or simply figuring out your next step, your care is individualized around you, your baby, and your feeding goals.

And yes—your furry family members are welcome too. 🐾💕

🤱 Worried your baby isn't getting enough milk?

You're definitely not alone. 💕 This is one of the most common concerns parents have during their feeding journey.

When evaluating milk intake, we look at the whole feeding picture—not just one sign.

💧 Diaper output
⚖️ Weight gain
👂 Swallowing during feeds
🤱 Milk transfer
👶 Feeding behavior

And remember: pump output alone doesn't tell us your milk supply, and softer breasts don't automatically mean low supply.

Every parent and baby are different, which is why individualized support can make such a difference. 🩵

Crying is actually a late hunger cue!

Before crying, babies may stir, turn their head, open their mouth, bring their hands toward their face, or begin rooting. 🤱 Recognizing those earlier signals can sometimes make getting baby to the breast much easier.
