We were recently informed that a door-to-door sales representative has been telling people that our company has “sold out.”

Let us be very clear: we have NOT sold out.
We are still locally owned, still operating under the same values, and still here as your trusted go-to company for pest, w**d, termite, and rodent control.

If someone comes to your door claiming otherwise, please fact-check it before believing the sales pitch. You are always welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll be happy to clear anything up.

It’s honestly disappointing how low some people will go just to make a sale, but we know our customers and community deserve the truth.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support local, honest service. We appreciate you more than you know.

Cheap service usually comes with a cost.

We hear it all the time:

“I had someone doing it cheaper…”

Then comes the rest of the story:

They stopped answering.
They stopped showing up.
They missed appointments.
They ignored concerns.

We understand nobody is perfect. Things happen.

But consistent poor communication and unreliable service? That is a problem.

At Golden Rule, we believe customers deserve more than “cheap.” They deserve dependable service, clear communication, trained technicians, and work that is done with care.

We respect family-owned businesses. We respect the solo operators. We respect the people out there building something the right way, doing honest work, and taking care of their customers.

What we don’t respect is the other side of the industry — companies that lie to get the job, people operating unlicensed or uninsured, and the “cheap guy” who cuts prices so low that it doesn’t even make sense.

Cheap service usually comes at a cost: rushed work, poor communication, no consistency, and no real accountability when something goes wrong.

Brent has officially met his new best friend… the aerator.
�At this point, we’re not sure if it’s a piece of equipment or if he’s trying to make it part of the family.

New toy in the shop and now somehow it’s involved in everything. Lawn aeration? Absolutely. Moving around the yard? Of course. Probably trying to take it to lunch next.

All jokes aside, we’re excited to add another tool to help us deliver even better lawn service and healthier turf for our customers.
�If Brent ever decides to let someone else use it, we’ll be putting it to work all over town.

April is prime swarming season for carpenter ants in many areas, and seeing winged ants around your home can be a warning sign that a colony may be nearby.

Common clues include large red & black ants indoors, sawdust-like debris, rustling in walls, and activity around damp or damaged wood. Prevention starts with fixing leaks, reducing moisture, sealing entry points, trimming back vegetation, and keeping firewood and wood debris away from the home.

If you’re seeing signs of carpenter ants, Golden Rule can inspect the problem and help stop it before damage gets worse.
