The secret to professional success is being part of a team that wants to be successful. And winning starts in the mirror.

You can’t know everything and you can’t do everything. You need teammates that want to win like you. Teammates that only want to eat need off the team. A house dog gets fed for just laying around. Are you the house dog wishing to be successful, or are you acting? I mean really going after it. You AND your teammates have to WANT to, and be willing to, WORK for the win.

The most successful QB has had coaches teaching him. Writing plays. Then he has to work to learn them. Practice them. Play them. Then he has to rely on the receivers. Rely on the runners. Rely on the defense. When the team wants to win, the team has a much better chance to win. Drop the fat like Twitter and get busy. Work to your success. The world owes you nothing, so take a look around. Are you on a winning team and are you working to win? Because,

At some point you have to understand that this life is 100% your responsibility.

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

Everything about your day starts within the mirror. It starts with you. It progresses with you. It succeeds because of you.

Attitude is a choice. Personal responsibility is a must.

Choose a positive attitude.
One where no problems exist. Only solutions. (Hint: life is full of challenges. Slay them all!)

Take responsibility.
Don’t feel well? How do you treat your body? Not getting where you want to professionally? How are you investing in yourself to advance? If you won’t invest, so why would someone else? Family life… treat it like there’s no re-dos.

Will this challenge before me matter in 5 min, 5 days, 5 weeks, 5 months or 5 years?
