Friendly reminder for our Tribal Membership 🐈

There will be FREE distemper shots tomorrow 05/08 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Maple Plain Community Center parking lot for cats. If you plan to utilize the low cost spay/neuter program later this summer, your cat MUST have a distemper vaccine. If tomorrow will not work, the mobile van will be back on 05/22 as well. Thank you.

Tribal Members interested in spay/neuter for cats, please read complete information below. Surgery will be 08/06/2026 in Maple Plain and the cost will be $25.

There will be free feline distemper vaccines on 05/08 and 05/22 in Maple Plain, required for surgery in August.

The sanctions imposed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), which had restricted payments, have officially been lifted. The Tribe is now able to draw down its contract funds once again. 🎉

Chi-Miigwech to everyone who played a role in getting our Tribal audits caught up and submitted. This was a major team effort and an important step forward for us all.

There will be a controlled burn conducted by BIA fire staff today, Friday 05/01/2026, in the Gaslyn Community near the ponds, with ignition planned to begin at 11:30a.m. There is pollinator habitat, including sage planting, which will benefit from the prescribed fire. 🔥

This is for EMERGENCIES only. 🚨

An emergency means a situation in which bodily harm is imminent; that which immediately threatens the safety of the residents or could cause serious property damage. Emergencies shall be responded to within six (6) hours and repaired within a reasonable time, even if the request is made after hours or on weekends.
