A laundry room makeover that's about so much more than laundry. 🧺✨

Over time, this space had become a landing zone for shoes, costumes, sports gear, and all sorts of items that didn't actually belong here. Before we could organize the room, we first had to declutter and relocate everything that belonged elsewhere in the home.

Once we cleared the excess, we created dedicated homes for the items that truly needed to stay: cleaning supplies, laundry essentials, lightbulbs, grocery totes, insulated beach bags, mops, brooms, and sports equipment.

The difference isn't just that it looks better. It's that the space now functions the way it was intended to. When everything has a home, it's easy to find what you need and easy to maintain the system.

Remember: clutter often isn't about having too much stuff. Sometimes it's simply having the wrong stuff in the wrong place.

Today we celebrate the American flag and the values it represents. As you display your flag with pride, take a moment to review the proper way to fold and store it so it remains protected and in good condition for years to come.

Do you have an American flag that is torn, faded, or no longer fit for display? Many local Boy Scout troops accept worn flags and use them as part of educational flag retirement ceremonies. Scouts learn the proper and respectful way to retire a flag and can earn recognition for participating in this important tradition.

A small act of care can help preserve an important symbol and teach the next generation about respect, service, and citizenship.

This is just one corner of a craft room that had slowly become a storage zone for supplies, household overflow, and unfinished projects. After decluttering, sorting, and creating homes for everything, this space is now functional, inspiring, and easy to maintain.
When creative supplies are organized, it's easier to spend time creating instead of searching.

Clutter isn’t just about stuff.

Sometimes it shows up as feeling stressed when you walk through the door. Sometimes it’s the frustration of never being able to find what you need. Sometimes it’s avoiding a room, closing a closet door quickly, or feeling like your countertops are never clear no matter how hard you try.

If any of the signs in this carousel sound familiar, know that you’re not alone. Most people don’t wake up one day and decide to live with clutter. Life gets busy. Priorities shift. Things accumulate little by little.

The good news? You don’t have to tackle everything at once.

Choose one small space. One drawer. One shelf. One corner. Small wins build momentum, and momentum creates lasting change.
