HONORING EXCELLENCE: We recently recognized three team members who exemplify hard work, prioritize safety and serve as amazing teammates.

Mechanic Patrick Simon received the Golden Wrench Award for his excellent work servicing yellow iron machines at our two rail sites in Farmingdale and Lindenhurst. Operator Pablo Reyes received the Golden Loader Award thanks to his efforts at the Lindenhurst rail site. Finally, Laborer Leo Brizuela was the recipient of the Golden Glove Award in honor of his work at our Yaphank Transfer Station.

We thank Patrick, Pablo and Leo for their contributions to our operations and congratulate them for the well-earned honors.

Twenty-five years ago, New Yorkers came together to respond to one of the most tragic days in our country's history. In the months and years that followed, even more worked to clear the rubble and rebuild. Today, we remember their sacrifices.

Our Safety team kicked off summer the right way for our Quogue and Southampton teams by offering some good eats to their colleagues! Each summer, WM focuses on employee safety, from staying hydrated and knowing the signs of heat-caused illnesses to our regular standards when operating machinery and more.

Employees at all our sites will be taking part in this year's initiative, which is titled "Safety Never Takes The Summer Off!"
