If You Have A CNA In Your Life, Please Pour Into Them 💜We Spend Most Of Our Days Caring For Patients Their Basic Needs, Their Comfort, Their Pain, Their Emotions, Their Families… And Often Their Most Vulnerable Moments. We’re Expected To Be Patient, Compassionate, Gentle, And Strong, No Matter What We’re Personally Carrying.
Then We Go Home And Pour Into Our Children And Our Partners. We Show Up Tired, But Still Present. Friends Call Us When They’re Overwhelmed Because They Know We’ll Listen, We’ll Comfort, And We’ll Make Space.
What People Don’t Always See Is How Much Mental And Emotional Energy That Takes. Constantly Being The Safe Place For Everyone… Is Heavy. CNAs Aren’t Superheroes We’re Human. And It’s Exhausting Navigating Demanding Environments, Expectations, And Relationships That Don’t Always Align With Us… While Still Showing Up Every Day With Love, Dignity, And Integrity. 🥹💯💖

“One thing about being a caretaker is the attachment you form—and nothing can prepare you for that part. When I first started caring for someone, I thought it would simply be about making sure their needs were met: meals, medication, comfort. But what I didn’t expect was how much of my heart would be involved.

Day by day, you become a part of their life. You learn their habits, their favorite foods, the stories they love to tell over and over again. You start to understand what makes them smile, what calms them down, and what matters most to them. In those quiet moments—when you’re sitting together sharing a laugh, or even when you’re just holding their hand—you realize that this isn’t just a job. This is a bond.

And that bond changes you. You begin to care so deeply that their pain feels like your own. When they’re sick, you worry. When they’re having a good day, you celebrate like it’s a holiday. They become more than someone you care for; they become someone you truly love.

But with that love comes the hardest truth: nothing lasts forever. That’s the part that hurts—the part nobody talks about. You give your heart fully knowing that one day, you may have to let go. And when that day comes, it breaks you in ways you can’t explain.

Yet, I would never take it back. Because in those moments, I know I gave someone comfort when they needed it most. I gave them dignity, compassion, and love. And even if it hurts now, it was worth it. Because caring for someone—truly caring—is one of the greatest gifts we can give.”

I have attended many CPR classes over the years, but was never told this…..
When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna do then ?
A rarely good post that can't be shared often enough:
1.
Take a 2 minute break and read this:
Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.
2.
You are really tired and frustrated.
All of a sudden your chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.
3.
Unfortunately you don't know if you can make it..
4.
Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.
5.
How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
6.
But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
7.
Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment
8.
Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.
9.
FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.
Instead of posting jokes, you're helping save lives by spreading this message.
