BURLINGTON, Iowa – October 2, 2025 – Des Moines County will launch the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) Program in August 2026, joining Lee County as one of only two Iowa communities offering this nationally recognized initiative.

Students also earn college credit through Southeastern Community College.

We are grateful for the incredible support of our local businesses and community, whose investment makes this opportunity possible.”
The CEO Program was developed by the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship, a national organization dedicated to fostering youth entrepreneurship.
