When I travel, I always think of brands I can weave into the narrative of my travels, whether it’s “road warrior” business travel or a family vacation.

What does this mean? Basically, I offer the brand the chance to be part of my narrative, whether it’s showing how a brand keeps me going as a “road warrior” during business travel, or perhaps how I stay hydrated and happy on a fun family vacation.

The result? I rarely have to go out of pocket to pay for trips… because I’m willing to integrate a brand into the moment.

One of the things I hear a lot from my students in Brand Ninja is this:

“Brands only offer me free product, not money… should I take it?”

Here’s what I always say… while it’s nice to get offered free stuff, last time I checked, you can’t pay your rent in workout leggings, sandals, or CBD Gummies… so why would you agree to create content and then get paid in that “currency?”
