Today, July 24, is National Private Investigators Day, marking the birthday of Eugène-François Vidocq, born in 1775, widely regarded as one of the earliest private detectives and a pioneer of modern investigative work.

After nearly 40 years in this profession- from retail loss prevention to criminal defense investigations, expert witness work, and now also leading Intellenet's international network of investigators- days like today are a good reminder of why this work matters. Behind every case is persistence, discretion, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to finding the truth, even when it's inconvenient.

To everyone in this field: thank you for the work you do, often quietly and without recognition. It's an honor to be part of this profession alongside so many dedicated investigators.
