Kathleen Fisher at Canyon Western Horses in Australia posted this great photo of her beautiful 2024 Stolen Identity filly Chola. Many of you will remember that Kathleen also has a fancy leopard c**t, Joey, born the same year and she is expecting another Stolen Identity foal this year. Kathleen is our amazing stallion manager in Australia and does a phenomenal job!
This is the message Kathleen posted with the photo:
"Most people don't realise I have two yearling Stolen Identity babies.
That's because I'm hopeless at taking photos of my horses!
This is Chola. Her name is inspired by the teddy bear cholla cactus, which I first saw driving through Arizona 11 years ago. Yes, I've been sitting on the name that long! It's a cute, fluffy-looking cactus with pale spines and a darker body that reminds me of a flaxen chestnut.
Chola was conceived with a single straw of frozen semen. Yes, you read that right.
That's what happens when you have great quality semen, a generous stallion contract and vets worth their weight in gold.
Steve and Michelle from Total Equine Genetics got both my mares in foal. They're responsible for a few Stolen Identity foals now and will hopefully create some more this season!
