Canceled due to poor air quality.

💜 Family Night at the Beach Cancelled 💜

It is with disappointment that we have to cancel Family Night at the Beach once again due to the unhealthy air quality.

While we were all looking forward to spending a fun evening together, the health and safety of our community must come first. In an effort to protect our children, seniors, and those with compromised health, we feel this is the most responsible decision.

We know this is disappointing, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who was planning to attend.

We look forward to gathering together under healthier conditions very soon. Until then, please stay safe and take care of one another. 💜

We are so excited to once again be part of this incredible community event!

Can you believe it's been 12 years since our town was blessed with the beautiful playground built in memory of Madeleine Hsu? Through the efforts of the Where Angels Play Foundation, West Islip Beach was chosen as one of the special locations to honor children whose lives ended far too soon. Their vision brought together so many of our local community organizations to create this lasting tribute.

Every July, in honor of Maddie's birthday, our community comes together to celebrate her life while celebrating the spirit of West Islip. It has become one of the most heartwarming traditions of the summer.

Join us for an evening filled with a DJ, food trucks, carnival games, a dunk tank, clowns, family activities, and so much more! Admission is free (food and refreshments are available for purchase), so bring your children, grandchildren, family, friends, and neighbors for a wonderful night together.

We hope to see you there as we honor Maddie's memory and celebrate the community she continues to inspire.
