Are any of you part of a men’s group that meets regularly to encourage one another and to strategize on how to build strong Christian communities and businesses?

If you are part of this group and live locally men’s Group will meet this evening at 6:30 PM at the Morgan County Wellness Center. We will survey the topic of eschatology and examine what Christ taught about the “Last Days.” Next week we will begin working through William Gouge’s treatise Of Domestical Duties (the section on husbands). I hope you will be able to join us.

What do you believe is the most pressing issue facing our church and our nation right now, and what should we do to address it?

06/12/2026

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your apologetic skills? Are you confident in your ability to accurately convey the gospel and answer most questions about the Bible? If you don’t feel confident in your apologetic abilities, would you be interested in taking a course to strengthen them?

How many of you work for a Christian business or own one yourself?

On average, how much time per month, or every couple of months, could you donate to help someone in need? For example, assisting a widow or another person who truly requires home repairs.

06/09/2026

What do you see as the biggest hindrance preventing men from building real community and serving others? And what kinds of immediate, practical help does your particular community need right now that men can step up and provide?

If you follow this group, please feel free to comment with your location, skill sets, and any ideas you have that could strengthen this network.
If you know Appalachia, you understand the deep poverty many face and how some have fallen into the trap of government dependency. My hope is to boldly share the biblical gospel and teach from Scripture that we are called to overcome these challenges as hardworking, faithful men, diligently building an inheritance for our children’s children.

This vision flows from a natural affection for our own people. As our Lord commanded, we fulfill this by loving our neighbor as ourselves , not through handouts or state reliance, but through covenantal strength, honest labor, and generational faithfulness for the glory of Christ.
