🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ What an AMAZING job by the kids at Boeckman Creek Primary School! 🎉

AAA Appliance Service Inc. was proud to sponsor the Boeckman Creek Primary School Fun Run for the second year in a row!

These kids worked incredibly hard—not only running their hearts out, but raising an impressive $33,000 toward the school’s $35,000 goal! 👏👏👏

The money raised helps support wonderful opportunities for the students, including school assemblies, books, field trips, playground equipment, traveling honors, and more.

We were honored to play a small part in supporting these hardworking kids, their families, teachers, and school community. Seeing everyone come together for the students is what makes events like this so special. ❤️

To all the kids who ran, raised money, and gave it their all—you should be VERY proud of yourselves! 🏅

Way to go, Boeckman Creek! We’re already looking forward to cheering you on again! 🎉

As a local, family-owned company, we also hope to have the opportunity to support even more schools throughout the Portland Metro Area in the future. Our owners have roots in the Portland, Gresham, West Linn, and Lake Oswego communities, so giving back to the communities we grew up in, live in, and serve means a lot to us.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from AAA Appliance Service Inc.! 🇺🇸

In observance of Independence Day, our office will be closed, and emergency appliance repair service will not be available.

Our team is taking the day to enjoy time with family and friends while celebrating America's birthday. We appreciate your understanding as our staff takes a well-deserved break.

If you experience an appliance issue over the holiday, please remember to put safety first:

- Turn off power to the appliance if needed.
- Shut off the water supply if a leak is present.
- Use dry ice in your refrigerator or freezer to help maintain safe temperatures if the appliance is not cooling. (Always handle dry ice with insulated gloves and ensure the area is well ventilated.)
- Contact a licensed plumber for plumbing emergencies.
- If you smell natural gas, leave the building immediately and contact NW Natural from a safe location.

If you need appliance service, you can schedule your appointment online anytime or leave us a voicemail. We will return all messages and begin scheduling appointments first thing Monday morning.

Thank you for your continued support of our local, family-owned business.
From all of us at AAA Appliance Service Inc., proudly serving Portland and surrounding cities since 1979, we wish you and your family a safe, fun, and Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

Happy Birthday to our owner and lead appliance repair technician! Don't let the fresh-shaven face fool you... he may look like he's in his twenties, but today he officially turns 39!

You probably hear about his quality work through the grapevine or see his name mentioned in countless ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ five-star reviews—and for good reason! Whether he's diagnosing a refrigerator, bringing a dryer back to life, or helping customers across the Portland area, he's known for honest service, expert repairs, and treating every customer like family.

As the owner of AAA Appliance Service Inc., he's spent countless hours keeping appliances running and earning the trust of customers one repair at a time. Today, we're taking a moment to celebrate the guy behind the service truck!

If you happen to see him out on a service call today, be sure to wish him a happy birthday!

Another successful dryer repair and maintenance service completed for a loyal customer in SE Portland!

The customer called us because their Amana dryer was no longer heating properly. After diagnosing the issue, our technician found a failed heating element and replaced it to restore proper drying performance.

While servicing the unit, we also performed our recommended dryer maintenance service, which included:

✅ Lubricating drum rollers, drum supports, and the belt tensioner/idler pulley
✅ Vacuuming out lint buildup inside the dryer cabinet
✅ Cleaning accumulated lint from the lint trap area

Check out these before-and-after photos! The amount of lint buildup inside this dryer was substantial—a very common problem that many homeowners never see because it's hidden inside the machine.

Excess lint can restrict airflow, reduce efficiency, increase drying times, cause heating issues, and even become a potential fire hazard. Routine maintenance helps keep your dryer running safely and efficiently while extending the life of key components.
If your dryer isn't heating, is taking longer than normal to dry clothes, or hasn't been professionally cleaned in years, it may be time for a service call.

Thank you to our loyal customer for trusting us with another appliance repair and maintenance visit!

A regular customer in Lake Oswego recently scheduled a service appointment for their U-Line refrigerator because it had stopped making ice.

When we notified them that the technician was on the way, they let us know the unit had just started making ice again and were considering canceling the appointment. Since the appointment was already scheduled and within our cancellation window, a service call fee would have applied. They decided to keep the appointment to make sure everything was working properly.

During the inspection, our technician found that no parts had actually failed. Instead, the ice box door was not fully closed and the ice bucket was not seated correctly, preventing the unit from operating as intended. After making these adjustments, the ice maker was back to functioning properly.

The visit was completed under the standard service call fee, and for added peace of mind, our 90-day warranty now covers the service call fee if the same issue returns and another visit is needed.

Sometimes the solution is simpler than expected—but having a trained technician verify the cause can save time, frustration, and unnecessary repairs.

Keeping Laundry Rooms Running Strong

AAA Appliance Service Inc. proudly services coin-operated washers and dryers, helping keep laundry rooms operating smoothly and minimizing downtime for property owners and tenants alike.

While we don't repair the coin mechanisms themselves, we can handle many of the washer and dryer repairs needed to keep your machines in service. In this case, a Speed Queen washer was out of commission due to a worn belt.

Whether it's a single machine or an entire laundry room, we're committed to providing reliable, responsive service backed by decades of experience.

Before You Schedule Service, Try the Reset Button!

A customer recently contacted us because their Reliance water heater wasn't producing hot water. When our technician arrived, we found that the unit had not been reset yet.

Since replacement thermostats weren't available on the service vehicle, the first step was to reset the water heater and allow time to see if normal operation returned. The customer is now monitoring the unit, and if the issue persists, we'll return for further diagnosis and repairs.

Appliance Tip: Sometimes a tripped safety device or control can cause an appliance to stop working. Before scheduling service, it's worth checking your owner's manual to see if a simple reset procedure is recommended for your appliance.

Maintenance Tip: Regularly draining and flushing your water heater is one of the best things you can do to help extend its life and maintain efficiency. Over time, sediment can build up inside the tank, which can affect performance and potentially lead to premature component failure.

Of course, if the problem returns or the appliance still isn't working properly, it's time for a professional diagnosis.
