Go get the funding!
Seriously — take the opportunity.
Grant funding can be a huge step forward for a business:
🔹 It creates momentum
🔹 It opens doors
🔹 It allows you to invest where you otherwise couldn’t
But what we see happen often is this:
The focus is on getting the award (which makes sense)—
and the system behind it gets figured out later.
At first, things seem manageable:
🔹 Expenses are tracked
🔹 Reporting gets submitted
🔹 Everything feels under control
But over time:
🔹 Documentation isn’t fully consistent
🔹 Costs aren’t clearly tied to specific activities
🔹 Processes weren’t built for the level of scrutiny required
And that’s when it starts to feel overwhelming.
Not because anything was done wrong—
but because the system wasn’t designed for what the funding actually requires.
That’s where we come in.
The goal isn’t to slow anything down.
It’s to make sure that once you get the funding:
👉 everything holds together
👉 everything makes sense
👉 and everything stands up when it matters
Go get the opportunity.
We’ll help you manage it the right way once you do.
Not every funding opportunity is looking for an idea. Some are looking for a solution that’s ready to move.
Louisiana’s new Rural Tech Catalyst Fund is designed for companies with healthcare-related products or services that can be deployed in rural communities within the next 180 days. That could include telehealth, healthcare access solutions, medical logistics, chronic disease support, digital health tools, and more.
This is not targeted toward businesses in the idea stage. As LED’s Josh Fleig explained:
“We need companies that have a product or service that can be deployed in the next 180 days.”
The program could provide:
• Grants or investments starting at $250,000
• Funding for pilots, expansion, and implementation
• Opportunities for companies working in Louisiana’s rural healthcare space
If your company already has a working solution and is ready to scale, this may be worth exploring quickly. Applications are now open, and the state is working on an accelerated timeline.

For innovative businesses operating in healthcare, technology, logistics, or service delivery — especially those focused on solving real rural challenges — this is one to watch.
