Today’s a hard day for us.

We’ll be closing early today to say goodbye to Dutchess. 🐾

About three months ago, Dutchess came into our lives after being found sitting in a ditch in water. Someone reached out asking if we could take her in, and of course we said yes.

Not long after, we found out she had a microchip connected back to Baton Rouge, but despite trying, we were never able to locate her owners. We also learned she had several serious health issues that had likely been going on for a long time.

Even with all of that, she still managed to be sweet, stubborn, demanding, and full of personality. She quickly became part of the shop and part of our family.

Lately her condition has declined very fast, and as much as we wanted more time with her, we don’t want her suffering.

Thank y’all for loving her with us these past few months. We’ll be back open tomorrow during normal business hours.
