As a Caregiver or CNA, you will play an essential role in supporting clients by providing personal care, companionship, and following individualized care plans.

💙 Job Responsibilities
Observe clients and document/report changes in condition
Provide companionship and supportive listening
Follow outlined care plans and instructions
Assist with personal care, including:
Bathing and personal hygiene
Dressing and un******ng
Oral care and shampoos
Toileting assistance
Skincare to prevent breakdown
Change bed linens
Perform light housekeeping, including laundry
Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
Assist with ambulation and prescribed exercises
Respond to emergency situations
Transport clients to appointments and community outings
Support hobbies, social activities, and recreational outings
Complete charting and documentation for care team review

Verifiable work experience
Compassionate, caring, dependable, and honest
Empathy is a MUST
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
Reliable transportation
Willingness to complete online/in-house training
Ability to pass background check and drug screen

🚨Breaking: Medicaid Bahama Mama! Direct service worker from White Castle arrested for billing Medicaid hours while on a trip to the Bahamas. She was found to be out of state on at least five separate occasions while documenting services she did not provide.

Whether it’s by a provider or a recipient, the State of Louisiana is taking a stand against public benefits fraud. Every dollar lost to fraud is not only a theft of tax dollars from the hardworking men and women of this State, but also a denial of services to someone who truly needs it. Great work by my Medicaid Control Unit.

At Serenity Care Providers, caring for others isn’t just what we do – it’s who we are!

As temperatures continue to climb, let's take a few moments to care for one another. Check on your elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may live alone. A quick phone call or knock on the door could make all the difference.

If you see someone walking in this heat or working outdoors, consider offering them a cold bottle of water. Whether it's a utility worker, landscaper, delivery driver, first responder, construction worker, or someone simply trying to get where they need to go, a small act of kindness can provide much-needed relief.

Please remember:
💦Stay hydrated.
☀️Avoid being outdoors during the hottest part of the day if possible.
👕Wear light-colored clothing and seek shade whenever you can.
❤️Look out for one another.

About 12 years ago, Serenity Care Providers hired Ms. Diane Meltin Melton as a CNA.
