What Is Toxic Leadership ?
Toxic leadership is when leaders create a hostile or unhealthy work environment for their workforce.
Here are identifications for toxic leaders
Do not allow free and frank flow of information and ideas
Destroy trust; the motivational requirement for engagement of their workforce
Promote themselves at the expense of their employees
Produce complacency, not future leaders
Are more often than not critical of personnel
Do not consider long-term ramifications of their actions
Cripple the confidence of employees; thus derailing potential leaders
Negatively influence reputations of their staff
