Three realities that I think people should not skip over.

1. There is a political party trying to limit the number of LEGAL Votes that count in this election (Most unAmerican tactic ever, but also the most American thing, something they have been doing since reconstruction with great success).

2. This election will be close, which shows you there are A LOT of people who support each side. No matter what side you are on, millions agree with both sides. Regardless of how crazy or radical you believe one side is, there is ALOT of Americans supporting both sides. They won't just change extreme views because the election is over.

3. There is an election happening where there are organizations threatening violence to stop people from voting. Currently blocking traffic (a crime) and fighting to carry fi****ms to polling places (there was a legal battle about it). Just one generation later looks a lot like the same tactics a particular group used to stop Black voters from voting (for over 100 years with very few arrested or charged with their criminal threats, murders, and other violence).

It sounds like many people are delighted to go back to the 1950s, where they didn't even have to apologize for what they were doing.
