JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk are to verify and keep records of items, manage warehouse material deliveries and prepare items for Jobsite
SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS
• Fluent in computer programs, specifically Microsoft Windows/Office
• Technical understanding industry computer skills
• Attention to detail & extremely organized
• Ability to multi-task and work for multiple individuals
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be a team player and treat co-workers with respect
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Unloads, Unpacks, examines, and records incoming shipments of all material
• Helps facilitate accurate Shipping records and works with office on filing system
• facilitates material list and loads material for Field to prepare next day
• Coordinates records of all shipping documents
• Confirms and documents received material are allocated to the correct location
• Coordinates inventory; monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
• Prepare items for shipment; determine method of shipment
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure that they meet specifications and order requirements
• Coordinates and cooperates with other functional and staff managers
• Accurate Document Control
• Capability to operate a forklift
• tool inventory and maintain sign in and sign out sheets for tools being issued to employees and job sites
• Maintain schedule of truck Fleet maintenance and schedule trucks for service
• Keep up with stock supplies and order when needed
• Get quotes for new tools when needed
• Keep up maintenance on tools and send in for repairs if necessary
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Shop building and office environment
• Exposure to dust, noise, and temperature changes
• Exposure to truck materials and liquids
• Able to work in a rapidly changing environment
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
• Ability to reach and to lift materials weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance are required. Ability to sit, stand, walk, for an eight (8) hour work shift. Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn, climb stairs. Ability to perform repetitious arm and wrist movements.
• Mental alertness to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.
• On occasion able to work overtime.
• Ability to learn new tasks and procedures.
• Ability to move equipment.
