Market Report: August 27, 2026
We had a short run of fats for our Thursday August 27th auction, sending our top fats out at 220.25. We followed with a good run of weigh cows and bulls finding that market to stay steady from a week ago. We finished the afternoon with a short run of feeders, bred cows and cow calf pairs. We do have another Monday auction scheduled for Sept 14, expecting 2500 hd. Market Report: August 17, 2026
We are calling our BBQ auction a huge success, finding good activity in all classes of cattle selling right at 2000. I want to thank Cuming County for doing an outstanding job grilling our burgers and all the ladies that took time to come help serve the meal. We do have another Monday auction scheduled for Sept 14, expecting 2500 hd. We had a short run of fats for our Thursday August 13th auction, finding a market that may have taken another step back, sending those top fats out 232.00 We followed with a good run of weigh cows and bulls calling that market fully steady to gaining a few dollars on those good bulls. We finished the afternoon with a short run of feeders and bred cows also gathering good activity. If you want to move some feeders soon our BBQ auction will be on Monday Aug 17th. We had a short run of fats for our Thursday August 6th auction, finding a market that was better than a week ago, sending those top fats out at 235.50. We followed with a very active weigh cow and bull market calling it 4 to 7 higher in all classes. We finished the afternoon with a short run of feeders and bred cows also gathering good activity.
