Working with words is great fun for me -- I tell people, “I play with words for living!” -- yet I take my clients’ business very seriously. Mine is a varied background of proofreading and editing. I have a quarter-century of experience solely focused on words: the past seven years self-employed, coupled with 18 years in the corporate world. Since 2008, I’ve worked as a freelance book editor (ficti

on and nonfiction), transcriber, proofreader, and continue to provide assorted wordsmithing for a client of five years. Recently, I fine-tuned my proofreading skills by enrolling in (and graduating from) Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice, a course built on the principles found in Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, with practice sessions containing more than 3,100 pages of transcripts. Now I am even better equipped to assist in the specialized world of court reporting and believe that, together, we can give transcripts the polished look so essential to your continued business success.
