Our crews teamed up with Upstate Spray Foam on the preparation of the Metro building in Kingston NY. This community-focused project is aiming to revitalize a century-old manufacturing warehouse into safe, supportive space for young people to gain hands-on education, training and career opportunities with an emphasis on the trades and local production.

Upstate Spray Foam went in first to apply spray foam insulation and their intumescent coating. Applied Coatings then went in and finished the job with our acoustical insulation.

As you can see in some of these photos, there were a lot of tight corners and a lot of preparation needed to protect other areas not being treated with our product. A lot of attention to detail is needed and just what our teams excel in!

We can't wait to see this building when it's completed and ready to service it's community.

This past Monday, our crews returned to the shop for a hands-on demonstration featuring new products and applications.

We are always striving to be the best by continuing our education and staying up to date with the latest industry advancements.

The team worked with Henry Prodeq, an instant-setting, spray-applied waterproofing system designed for durability and strength. This robust membrane can withstand job-site traffic from other trades and offers a fast installation that helps keep construction schedules moving.

They also participated in a demonstration of Henry Pumadeq, a cold fluid-applied, seamless waterproofing solution. This product can be applied in very low temperatures and fully cures in just one hour—regardless of temperature. This is a major advantage for our team, especially with Upstate New York’s unpredictable weather, which can often impact timelines.

Investing in advanced products and ongoing training allows us to work more efficiently, adapt to changing conditions, and continue delivering high-quality, reliable results for our clients on every project.

As shown in the photos, the job required careful preparation, including navigating tight corners and protecting surrounding areas not being treated. This level of detail is exactly where our crews shine.

A wonderful night celebrating the season with an even better team 🎄✨

Our Christmas party was a great chance to step away from the day-to-day, enjoy some festive cheer, and reflect on an amazing year!

Our team just completed a new K-13 Acoustical Coating across the gymnasium ceiling at the Unatego (NY) Central School District. The coating replaced an existing and unsightly acoustical coating. A lot of time was put in to protect the floors, prep the ceiling and masking of the fixtures and walls, as well as clean-up. Nobody does it better than Applied Coatings!

WOW Has it been busy. We're hitting on all cylinders in 2025 and wanted to share this unique project on our page.

Our team is finally wrapping up at the BARD COLLEGE PERFORMING ARTS LAB Building in Castleton-on-Hudson (NY) completing the Fluid Applied Air Barrier. We started in February and was just brought back on site to wrap the last few pieces up. This wild building is designed as a half-circle and has a sloping roof the entire way. No wall on this building is straight. The Fluid Applied Air Barrier is installed to the exterior wall sheathing prior to the installation of the building façade and will provide the building with protection from the elements all year long.

This project is also an ABAA Certified Project where we are partnering with Upstate Spray Foam & HVAC! Props to our team leader Justin Mergenthaler on this outstanding install.
