Our Story:
In 2013, Spectrum Bookkeeping started off as a simple bookkeeping service. Incorporating two
years later, in January 2015. Founder Phillip Chisholm-DeVeau always gravitated to helping
organizations run smoothly. As an entrepreneur himself, founding both micro and small organizations, innovation and creativity fueled his desire to improve operational tasks.
As Spectrum Bookkeeping Inc. grew, Phillip identified that many organizations are good at their chosen services and/or product creation, yet found the operations side of their business was a challenge for them. Bookkeeping, record keeping, and processes in today’s world have transitioned into more complex connected pieces. Being one of the first bookkeeping firms to adapt to cloud-based accounting and embracing technology, Spectrum soon became more than a bookkeeping firm.

In 2017, Phillip studied coaching at Adler Graduate Professional School, empowering him with a deeper understanding of how people can embrace desired change. Furthering his studies has earned his coaching credentials with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and gained several certifications that aid in client work.
Recently, understanding the changing landscape of incorporation record keeping to meet
government requirements, both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Phillip’s inquiry led him to learn how to help organizations navigate the recent changes launched in 2021.
