Big progress at the chipping facility project this past week.

CCB’s carpenters, ironworkers, and laborers worked seamlessly to excavate, reinforce, and pour 80+ yards of concrete for a 5‑foot‑thick equipment pad.

Heavy work, tight coordination, and another example of our crews delivering the foundation—literally—for our clients’ future chipping operations.
Also big thanks to Maine-ly Concrete Pumping for a great collaboration to get this work completed in the shutdown window!

Some days the projects are large and last months, some days they're just ones you can knock out quickly with a small crew— but our apprentices are learning fast that isn’t what matters.
What matters is showing up, taking care of the customer, and doing the work the right way every single time.
Recently our carpenter apprentices knocked out a small enclosure, cleaned up the exterior warehouse door area, and reworked the concrete walking surfaces. Nothing flashy. Nothing dramatic. Just honest work that needed to get done.
And that’s the point. These are the projects that teach the mindset: take pride in the craft, respect the relationship, and leave the place better than you found it. That’s how you build trust — one task at a time.

This weekend, members of the CCB team joined thousands of participants at Portland’s Back Cove Trail for a 4‑mile walk in support of the American Heart Association.

Proud to stand with our community, raise awareness for heart health, and support an organization that continues to make a real difference across Maine.

Grateful for everyone who showed up, stepped up, and walked with purpose.

Today, on International Facility Management Day, we are proud to recognize someone who represents the very best of our profession — Kacey Looney.

Kacey recently earned his Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, one of the most respected and rigorous certifications in the FM industry. This achievement reflects his deep technical knowledge, leadership, and commitment to elevating the standard of service for our team and our clients.

Facility management is about creating safe, reliable, efficient environments where people can do their best work. Kacey embodies that mission every day.

Congratulations, Kacey — and thank you for everything you bring to the profession and CCB.

Our team delivered a seamless, highly coordinated effort—handling everything from demolition of an existing snowmelt system and concrete slab to the full installation of a new, high‑efficiency snowmelt system and placing a new slab while keeping an active offload station in full operation.
This project is a great example of what happens when skilled trades collaborate with shared purpose: SAFE ex*****on, technical excellence, and a finished product our client can rely on for years to come.
Grateful for the craftsmanship, professionalism, and teamwork that made this possible.

Our annual meeting is one of our favorite traditions, bringing our team together to share updates, reflect on how far we’ve come, and celebrate the people who make it all possible.

This year, we had the special honor of celebrating Paul and Rick, who retired after years of dedication and hard work. Their contributions have left a lasting mark, and we’re grateful for the time and passion they have given to our company.

In this industry, we know that time matters. And there’s no better investment than time spent building together, learning from one another, and recognizing the hard work happening every day across our company.

From the field to the office, it takes all of us. We’re proud of what we’ve built and even more excited for what’s ahead.
Here’s to time well spent, and the work still to come.
