We are pleased to announce two recent well-deserved promotions.

Matt Dale has been promoted to Senior Estimator. Matt joined CCB in 2001 after graduating from the University of Maine Construction Management program. From the start of his career with CCB, he has served as an estimator with an unwavering commitment to sharpening his skills, broadening his industry knowledge, and supporting others. Often serving as a true “Army of One,” Matt has been instrumental in supporting the growth and maturity of our organization. Matt’s dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence have helped shape the success of countless projects and significantly strengthened our estimating capabilities and capacity over the years. We are very fortunate to have Matt on our team and are excited to recognize this achievement!

Brian Turgeon has been promoted to Project Manager. Brian joined CCB in January 2024 as a Mechanical Field Operations Coordinator to support our growing mechanical operations. A Master Plumber by trade, Brian came to CCB looking to take the next step in his career and move into a leadership role supporting the craftspeople in the field who helped shape his career. Brian has always demonstrated a deep respect for the crafts and the skilled professionals who perform the work. He has embraced the transition from the field to the office exceptionally well, and in a very short time has developed complementary skills in estimating, scheduling, and project management. We are very pleased with the expanded role Brian has taken on and look forward to his continued success.

CCB Pipefitter/Plumber Wyatt Fontaine showcased outstanding craftsmanship at this year’s UA District 1 Apprenticeship Competition held at the Local 777 Training Facility in Meriden, CT. Over four days, apprentices from across the Northeast were tested on precision, layout, fabrication, and problem solving — and Wyatt rose to the challenge with the skill and discipline that define a top tier pipefitter.
 
Representing Local 716, Wyatt demonstrated the kind of workmanship we’re proud to have on every CCB project. His attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to adapt to complex tasks stood out throughout the competition. Wyatt noted how impressive the training facility was, how well run the event felt, and how valuable it was to meet skilled tradespeople from across the region. He also appreciated the generosity of Milwaukee and DeWalt for supporting all participants — not just the winners.
His message to future apprentices: “Show up ready to learn, ready to work, and ready to meet good people.”
 
We’re also proud to share that CCB’s Mike Winchenbach, also of Local 716, served as a training coordinator and judge at the event. We greatly appreciate Mike’s leadership, experience, and dedication to developing the next generation of tradespeople!

CCB crew members — with crucial support from Cote Crane — have successfully wrapped up Phase 3 of this extensive three‑year mechanical upgrade for one of our clients. Cote Crane has played a key role in every phase, handling the heavy removals and precise placements. We appreciate their continued partnership.
This milestone pushes forward a major HVAC modernization effort that includes three new chillers, new cooling towers, pumps, valves, VFDs, upgraded control systems, significant mechanical‑room improvements, and new cooling‑tower sweeper systems for each tower.
With Phase 3 complete, the project continues to gain momentum toward full cooling‑tower system modernization — strengthening reliability, performance, and long‑term resiliency for our client’s critical operations.
Our crews continue to demonstrate exceptional skill and craftsmanship, coordination and collaboration amongst mixed trades and scopes, continuously delivering quality work phase after phase. A big week at one of Maine’s Public Schools as two major projects move forward across the campus.
CCB carpenters & laborers have begun installation of weatherproofing, siding and windows as we push the finishes towards the first phase of the school’s multi‑year exterior upgrade for Energy Management Consultants (EMC).
Our mechanical team has a separate project with the school and is progressing through a detailed scope of piping repairs, roof drain repairs & Victaulic coupling replacements across multiple areas of the building.

With approximately 20 CCB employees on site supporting both scopes, this project highlights CCB’s depth, versatility, and ability to coordinate seamlessly across trades.

CCB is officially underway at one of Maine’s Public High Schools where our carpenters and laborers are on-site and have begun demolition as we kick off the first phase of the school’s multi‑year weatherization project for Energy Management Consultants (EMC).

Our team is removing the existing siding and windows in preparation for new high‑performance exterior systems that will improve durability, efficiency, and long‑term building performance.

Proud of our crew for setting the pace early with safe, clean, and coordinated work. Strong start to Phase 1 — more progress updates coming soon.

Big progress at the chipping facility project this past week.

CCB’s carpenters, ironworkers, and laborers worked seamlessly to excavate, reinforce, and pour 80+ yards of concrete for a 5‑foot‑thick equipment pad.

Heavy work, tight coordination, and another example of our crews delivering the foundation—literally—for our clients’ future chipping operations.
Also big thanks to Maine-ly Concrete Pumping for a great collaboration to get this work completed in the shutdown window!

Some days the projects are large and last months, some days they're just ones you can knock out quickly with a small crew— but our apprentices are learning fast that isn’t what matters.
What matters is showing up, taking care of the customer, and doing the work the right way every single time.
Recently our carpenter apprentices knocked out a small enclosure, cleaned up the exterior warehouse door area, and reworked the concrete walking surfaces. Nothing flashy. Nothing dramatic. Just honest work that needed to get done.
And that’s the point. These are the projects that teach the mindset: take pride in the craft, respect the relationship, and leave the place better than you found it. That’s how you build trust — one task at a time.

This weekend, members of the CCB team joined thousands of participants at Portland’s Back Cove Trail for a 4‑mile walk in support of the American Heart Association.

Proud to stand with our community, raise awareness for heart health, and support an organization that continues to make a real difference across Maine.
