🖥️ What if I told you…
One of the godfathers of Silicon Valley didn’t look like the hoodie-wearing tech bros you see on Forbes covers? It was a Brotha named 👉🏽 Roy L. Clay Sr.

In the 1960s, when computers filled whole rooms and racism filled every room, Roy walked into Hewlett-Packard and built their first minicomputer — the HP 2116A.
That launch helped put HP (and Silicon Valley itself) on the map.

😤 One interviewer even asked if he was “afraid to work with white people.”
Roy hit back: “Not if you’re not afraid of me.” 💥

And he didn’t stop there.
He invented the ground fault interrupters — those outlets with the little red reset button still saving lives today.

👨🏾‍💻 He mentored, hired across races, and opened doors they tried to lock.

That’s why they called him the Godfather of Silicon Valley.
Not because he demanded power… but because he built it and passed it on.

💾 Next time someone says you don’t belong in tech, remind them Roy was coding futures while America was still running on floppy-disk values.
