So I woke up today and for the first time in 30 years, I am no longer a bookkeeper/payroll clerk. I had my last day filling those roles yesterday. It fills me with mixed feelings. It's nice to know that people can get paid without me, but it also means that I won't see those people, maybe forever, and that's the melancholy part. So au revoir, hasta luego, until we meet again my friends. Thank you Cardboard Commodities, Westerly Paint and Hardware, Schneidenbach Quality Homes, Wise Owl Toys, Trinity Lutheran Church, Dr. Anthony DiMaio Inc., Lakeside Bar and Grill, South County Cabinets, The law offices of John Gentile, Atlantech Technical Sales Corp., Southeast Landscaping, Sandy's Fine Food Emporium, Crestview Dental Associate's Inc. (special shout out to Dr. Torbett, yours and the staff's kindness over the years will forever leave a warm spot in my heart. However, you'll soon discover that while I was a proficient bookkeeper, filing is not and never has been my forte ;) ). Last but not least, my longest running customer. We were trying to figure out how long the other day and the best we could come up with was either 1991 or 1992, so we'll say 28 years. Thank you to Pilgrims Baptist Church (and Pastor Lester Sedam) for giving an untested, active duty US Navy Electricians Mate, the keys to the Kingdom (in many ways). If I left any businesses off, I'm sorry. Until we meet again!
