A Small Milestone Worth Sharing
This weekend was a productive one.
Today I'm continuing to refine, edit, and tighten a collection of poems I've written over the past several years. While "Book of Poems" is only a working title for now, I'm excited to be closing in on a manuscript that I hope will soon be ready for publication and review.
This will be my first poetry collection, featuring poems centered on themes of love, identity, legacy, life's journey, and reflection. Along the way are stories of forgiveness, family, hope, and the moments that quietly shape who we become. A few poems are dedicated to my parents, and some of you may even recognize pieces I've shared here over the years.
One of the greatest gifts in this process has been receiving thoughtful feedback from an early reader who has reviewed nearly 80% of the manuscript. Their insight has challenged me to make each poem stronger while helping me remain true to the heart behind every word.
For more than three decades, I've had the privilege of helping people discover direction through leadership, coaching, ministry, and higher education.
Now, I'm hoping to continue that journey one verse at a time.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, read an early poem, offered feedback, or simply believed in this project. I look forward to sharing more as it continues to take shape.
