The multidec 5000 series offers a range of high-performance cut-off tools that are developed and optimized for sliding headstock lathes in Swiss-type CNC machines. The four available chip breakers are designed to meet the highest requirements for efficient production, even in difficult-to-machine materials.

The multidec 5000 tool holders are available without internal coolant or with internal coolant on the insert chip breaker and front clearance. Thanks to the targeted coolant supply with high-pressure, the chips are efficiently removed from the cutting edge. In addition, the cutting edge is efficiently cooled, considerably increasing insert life and enabling higher cutting parameters.

GenSwiss Signature Series Mini Boring line provides a method of creating ID features that utilize simple change ISO style turning inserts and round shank holders. The minimum bore size is one of the smallest available in an indexable style tool.

Inserts come in 3 geometries: 35 degree rhombic, and 80 degree trigon. Several chip breaker geometries and coatings are available, ideal for cutting materials such as carbon alloy steels, stainless steels, and aluminum alloys.

Available solid carbide insert holders provide enhanced vibration dampening to ensure tool cutting accuracy. Each holder features coolant-thru outlets and shank diameters down to 10mm. Boring holders can be paired with a GenSwiss bushing for easy mounting to round shank tool holders.
