Summer is here. ☀️
And nobody does color like Carnival Glass.

We're talking Marigold that catches the afternoon sun like nothing else.
Cobalt Blue so deep it looks like the lake at dusk.
And Red — rare, electric, and completely unforgettable.

👇 Which one is YOUR summer color?
Tell us if you already own a piece in your color.
We want to see what's on your shelf this season.

Before you bid on another piece of Carnival Glass 🔄 flip it over.

The bottom of a piece tells you more than the top ever will.
And once you know what you’re looking at, you’ll never shop the same way again.

Here’s how to read it:

🔍 No mark at all?
That’s actually normal. Fenton didn’t mark their original Carnival Glass. Pre-1970 Fenton is entirely unmarked. Learning patterns and colors matters more than finding a logo.

🔍 The Fenton oval mark
Fenton introduced the oval “Fenton” mark in script in 1970 when they reintroduced Carnival Glass.
After 1980, they added a decade number: 8 for the 1980s, 9 for the 1990s, 0 for the 2000s.
That number tells you exactly when it was made.

🔍 The Northwood “N”
An underlined capital N inside a circle. One of the only classic Carnival makers that consistently signed their work.
No circle? Likely a reproduction or revival piece.

🔍 Imperial Glass
Early pieces unmarked. Later pieces carry overlapping “IG” initials. Specialty lines marked NUART or NUCUT. See those words — you’ve got Imperial.

🔍 Mold seams on the base
Vintage American Carnival Glass is pressed, not blown. Look for a mold seam or flat area from the press mold. No pontil mark is completely normal.

Fenton was the largest producer of colored glass in the United States for over 100 years. The collectors who find them know exactly what to look for.

👇 What’s the first thing YOU check when you pick up a piece?

Not all antique furniture tells a story like this one. 📜

A four-piece Victorian Renaissance bedroom suite in walnut and burl with original white marble tops. Circa 1850s. A 102-inch crest bed with 12-inch urn finials. A 104-inch triple stepdown dresser with a 59-inch dressing mirror. A washstand. A commode.
All in outstanding quality and condition.

That alone would make it one of the finest pieces of Victorian antique furniture to come through auction in years.

But this suite has something most rare antiques don’t.

➡️ Documentation.

It originally stood in the Dayton, Ohio home of Valentine Winters — where President Abraham Lincoln visited and gave a speech in 1859.
The Dayton Daily News documented its sale in 1948.
A handwritten provenance letter from the family confirms the history.
The suite then became part of the renowned 50-year personal collection of Dr. & Mrs. J.R. Williams of Eaton, Ohio.

The mansion where Lincoln stayed no longer stands — it was demolished for what is now the US Bankruptcy Court in Dayton.

📜 This documented Victorian antique bedroom suite is among the last surviving artifacts of that history.

A newspaper from 1948. 📜

A handwritten letter confirming the provenance.

And a four-piece Victorian Renaissance antique bedroom suite that once stood in the Dayton, Ohio home where President Abraham Lincoln visited and gave a speech in 1859.

The suite — a magnificent walnut and burl with original white marble tops, circa 1850s — was originally owned by Valentine Winters, one of Dayton’s most prominent citizens and a personal host to the President.
The 102-inch crest bed with 12-inch urn finials. The 104-inch triple stepdown dresser with 59-inch dressing mirror. The washstand. The commode. All four pieces. All documented.

The Dayton Daily News ran the headline in 1948: “Huge Bed Used By Lincoln To Be Sold.”

This suite passed through the hands of careful collectors ever since — most recently part of the renowned 50-year personal collection of Dr. & Mrs. J.R. Williams of Eaton, Ohio.

Now it’s coming to auction again as part of the Jeffers Family collection.
