A huge thank you to the artists who got us moving Friday night Rivet Coffee Bar & Roastery !🔥🥁

Oracle Moon brought a creative vision centered on healing through music, rhythm, and movement—and then brought that vision to life with soulful beats, live drumming, and an invitation for everyone to become part of the experience.

Erica Lohman + Ella Owens were the perfect duo to help make it happen. They brought movement out onto the lawn, engaged the crowd, and helped turn Moon’s vision into something we could all participate in.

And the energy was contagious. ✨

People danced, connected, let loose, and experienced what happens when different creative disciplines come together with intention.

Dance really is medicine.

A huge thank you to Ballet INitiative for supporting Erica and Ella and continuing to help us bring local dance into unexpected places—beyond traditional stages and directly into the community.

And to Moon Rutherford Moon, Erica Lohman , and Ella Owens : thank you for sharing your talent, trusting the creative process, and giving our community an experience we could feel as much as we could see and hear.

This is Connect. Cultivate. Collaborate. in motion. ❤️‍🔥

Some artists don’t just share their work—they invite others to imagine what they might create, too. ✨

Friday night Rivet Coffee Bar & Roastery , we had the honor of celebrating Felix Melchor, revealing three new original works and sharing a little more of the story behind the artist.

And what a night for Felix Melchor —one of those new pieces found its forever home with a first-time collector! ❤️ Congratulations to them both. There is something incredibly special about witnessing someone purchase their very first piece of original art, especially when it comes directly from a local artist.

Felix’s story was equally powerful. His journey, curiosity, and willingness to continue exploring his creativity reminded us that there is no single path to being an artist—and sometimes the most important thing is simply giving yourself permission to try something new.

He extended that invitation to someone else through an incredibly thoughtful giveaway: one of his framed works paired with an artist starter kit he created to encourage someone to pick up a brush, experiment, and explore their own creativity.

That generosity says so much about the artist behind the work.

Felix, congratulations and thank you for sharing your art, your story, and your creative spirit with our community. We were honored to celebrate you. 🎨✨

✨ MEET THE DANCERS! ✨

Live dance is returning to Fourth Friday this week, and we are so excited to partner with Ballet INitiative again to bring movement into the heart of the experience!

🩰 WELCOME BACK: ERICA LOHMAN

We’re thrilled to welcome Erica Lohman back to Fourth Friday after her beautiful performance with us earlier this season!

Erica is an Indianapolis-based professional dancer, choreographer, and educator who performs with Ballet INitiative. A former dancer with American Midwest Ballet, Erica holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the UMKC Conservatory and has spent more than a decade teaching dancers of all ages.
