So grateful and blessed my "Wings of Rebirth" 6x6 scratchboard art earned Rick Ellsmore's lovely poetry "Rebirth"
On the wings of Rebirth
I weigh its worth
Beauty found within
Exposing areas of thin
Existence of Death's kiss
Seeming so hit or miss
Need to unearth
Painful process
Like childbirth
Grief-ridden moments
Entangled hurt of breech

Silent air
Holding my expansion
Leaving behind
Comforts of the cozy mansion
Wild unknown
Blue Colorado sky
Risking being shown
Cutting to the truth
Of the bone

Butterfly wings
Healing balm
For the stings
Welcome calm
For my future
Bell tolls
Lovingly rings
