Summit Winery

Summit Winery Thriving winery located in Westmoreland, New Hampshire which is right outside of Keene. Darren Horn Sr. is the owner and operator of this establishment.

We currently produce over 20 wines and host yoga, weddings, engagements and other events. The Summit Winery sits on 80 acres in the town of Westmoreland, NH which is located just five (5) miles outside of Keene, NH. On February 12, 1752 John Chamberlain, one of the original grantees of the town of Westmoreland, drew “Lot No. 3, 5th range 2nd division and named it the Summit. John Chamberlain later

joined the continental army and fought at the battle of Valley Forge. He did survive the harsh winter of 1777 and returned to Westmoreland and resumed farming. The original foundation of the farmhouse (circa 1800) can still be seen at the bottom of the vineyard. In the mid 1960’s, Niles and Katherine Aldrich disassembled an 1856 tobacco barn located in Walpole, NH and reassembled here on the current site. Once a gift barn, transformed into a one of Westmoreland’s favorite restaurants and now one of New England’s top Wineries to visit; The Summit Winery hosts grape varietals sourced from the US and around the world and soon its own vineyard. Darren and Judy Horn have been making great wines for many years. We thank our family, friends, and the good people of Westmoreland for all of their encouragement in allowing us to share our wines at a professional level.

In this workshop you'll make a pair of "Diamond Shape Sparkle Earrings" made of either solid sterling silver, nu gold, or copper. This is a beginner jewelry making class. Individuals or small groups are welcome. Participants will experience many jewelry making techniques: texturing (hammering), dress the cut edges (filing), making a hole (center punching, drilling, filing), and polishing. This class is led by Jim and Andrea Lorette of Jayelay Jewelers at Rabbit Ridge Studios and the Summit Winery located at 719 Route 12 in Westmoreland, NH. Within this 1-hour class, Jim and Andrea will walk you step by step through the process of making these earrings. Class size is 8 participants with two times offered 4-5pm or 5:30-6:30pm. All materials and tools are provided. This experience includes a beverage provided by the winery. Please bring reading glasses if you need help with seeing objects up close. Unleash your creativity in a relaxing atmosphere with my Paint-n-Sip experience at the Winery. I will guide step-by-step, while you create your own artwork and enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Additional drinks are available for purchase, and you're welcome to bring your own snacks or food to make the experience uniquely yours.

Perfect for a fun night out or a creative escape! What to expect: Painting 6pm-8pm. One drink is included with purchase. Bring your own snack or food - if you forget, there are snacks available for purchase. Keep your painting at the end!

Treat mom to a wine tasting or a glass of her favorite wine and toast to her for being a special Mom. And then, courtesy of
Judy and Darren enjoy a special charcuterie table, complimentary to our wine-loving guests. The Winery will be open from 11am to 4pm this Sunday. The deck is set up and open to enjoy some sunshine with a Frozen Wine Slushy with Strawberries, a Mimosa, or a glass of chilled Sangria.

In this workshop, you'll make a pair of "Heart Dangle Earrings" made of solid sterling silver, nu gold, and brass. This is a beginner jewelry-making class. Individuals or small groups are welcome. Participants will experience many jewelry-making techniques: punching (cutting hearts), texturing (hammering), dressing the cut edges (filing), riveting (drilling, filing, fitting pieces together, cold connecting), and polishing.

During this 2-hour class, Jim and Andrea will walk you step by step through the process of making this pendant.

Class size is 6 participants. All materials and tools are provided. This experience includes a beverage provided by the winery. Please bring reading glasses if you need help with seeing objects up close.
