With open enrollment just around the corner if I could give one piece of advice its to never shop based on price because long term it can end up costing you $1000s in the long run. Instead of focusing on price, here are three questions you should be asking instead.

The cheapest plan typically ends up becoming the most expensive option in the long run when you have to use it. Its unfortunate but a lot of people are being lied to and getting signed on to these limited benefit plans. Always make sure you review your benefits and the limitations before you sign up for anything.

ACA Marketplace insurance is fantastic for low income individuals and people with high needs to healthcare. There is no one size fits all policy. So what if you’re healthy? Your needs may be different from someone elses. If you’re relatively healthy, imagine a type of plan specifically designed for you that rewards you for being in good health by offering lower rates and better coverage. A denied claim doesn’t always mean it’s the end. Ask questions! Request the written reason for the denial and the criteria they used to make the decision. You might have more options than you think. Save this for later and follow for more health insurance tips:)
