Lets talk some poultry.

Its that time of the year where we go out, open the door to our chicken coop and we see feathers are everywhere!
Not a nice sight to see.
We cant do nothing about it and we cant stop it from happening.
Molt season is upon us.
And as old feathers are falling out and new growth takes its old place, its a good time to start them on a higher protein feed.
We can expect a good hard molt to last atleast 14-15 weeks 😵‍💫
Also, daylight hours is getting shorter so hens will slow down or stop laying eggs for approximately 6-8 weeks.
Its just the way they were designed. A time to renew growth and a time to renew reproductive system.
So a higher protein is beneficial for a healthy diet and healthier growth.

18% Gamebird breeder pellet

18% All Natural Duck & Goose pellet 50lb
If you feed your ducks layer feed or flock maker now is a good time to feed them a bag of duck food. Unlike chickens, ducks need a higher niacin feed and its a good time to let them get a good dose of niacin before winter cold months.

Also, poultry cell is a good thing to add to water, it has all the vitamins, iron, essential amino acids and necessary minerals. After such a wet season it would be good to treat you're flock to ensure they are not lacking any nutrients from picking in the grass.
