BEACH SEASON IS HERE ☀️🏖️

Incident Response – Monday, May 25th

Today we were called by the Duxbury Police Department to assist with a vehicle stuck on the beach. Although we have our own skid steer capabilities, ours is equipped with wheels rather than tracks, making it less than ideal for the soft sand conditions. Since our wrecker also could not safely reach the vehicle, we reached out to our good friends for assistance with a tracked skid steer.

With the tracked skid steer, we were able to drive directly onto the beach and safely recover the vehicle without causing any damage or getting any of our own equipment stuck.

We want to give a huge thank you to Performance Towing for the quick assist, and to the Duxbury Police Department for the call and for helping keep the area clear so we could work safely.

Another successful recovery in the books!

From everyone here at the Express Towing team, we want to take this weekend to honor and remember all who have served and those who are currently serving our country. We thank each and every one of you for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

While taking time to remember our veterans — past and present — we also want to remind everyone to stay safe and plan ahead if you’re attending a cookout, celebration, or party this weekend. We’d rather not meet you on the side of the road after a crash, and as nice as all of our local police officers are, we’re sure you probably don’t want to spend your holiday weekend with them either!

As always, our team will be out and available in full force, ready to assist with any towing or transport needs throughout the weekend.

Enjoy the long weekend (for most of you), stay safe, and take a moment to remember what Memorial Day is truly about. 🇺🇸

INCIDENT RESPONSE – Tuesday April 14th

Today our team was called in to assist on a mobile crane rollover — not due to operator error.

Our rotator was dispatched along with our operator, heavy-duty supervisor, and support crew to handle rigging and recovery. The situation was handled safely and efficiently, and we’re glad to report no injuries.

Big thank you to C.J Shaugnessy Crane Service for trusting us to assist them in getting the job done right.

This marks our teams 4th mobile crane rollover recovery — experience matters when it counts.

Incident Response – Friday, March 20th

Earlier today, we were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a passenger car and a large box truck.

Upon arrival with one of our flatbeds and a heavy-duty wrecker, our operators determined that extensive cleanup would be required. Additional units were then dispatched, including our box truck, dump truck, and street sweeper, to mitigate roadway hazards and address a significant fluid spill in the intersection.

We would like to thank the Weymouth Police Department and Weymouth Fire Department for their assistance with traffic control and scene cleanup while our crew worked.

Incident Response – Friday, February 27th

Today our heavy crew was dispatched to a tractor trailer that struck a mobile crane.

Upon arrival with two of our heavy wreckers, our operators found the tractor trailer stuck in the snow and in contact with the crane.

To safely recover the unit, we utilized both heavy wreckers to prevent any further movement or damage to the crane. While some may view this as a simple winch-out, there was much more involved.

As the tractor trailer was pulled forward out of the snow, the rear of the trailer naturally wanted to rotate sideways during the turn. If that rotation occurred too soon, it could have caused additional damage to the crane.

To prevent that, we applied controlled pulls from both ends simultaneously — stabilizing the trailer while freeing it from the snow. Once we created enough clearance, we allowed the unit to safely complete its rotation and exit the scene without further incident.

Another safe and calculated recovery completed by our heavy team.

❄️Another Snowstorm! Because Why Not? ❄️

Welcome to New England — where it’s 45° and sunny one day and a full-blown blizzard the next.

With another storm on the way, now’s the time to prepare… unless you were planning to test your Fast & Furious audition in the snow.

Quick Reminders From Your Friends at Express:

• That ice from the last storm? Yeah… it didn’t leave. It’s just waiting.
• Those snowbanks at intersections? They’re about to get taller than your best friends lifted truck.
• Your AWD vehicle is helpful… but it’s not a tank. Physics still applies.

How to Avoid Meeting Us Monday Morning (Even Though We’re Awesome):

• Leave earlier than usual. Rushing + snow = bad decisions.
• Clean ALL the snow off your vehicle — yes, even the roof. You’re not driving a soft-serve cone.
• If visibility is trash, slow down and turn your hazards on so people can actually see you.

As always, our crew will be out in full force ready to help if you need us. We’ve got some pretty awesome employees who don’t mind the cold.

But please…
Leave the bobsledding to the Olympic team. Your sedan is not built for it.

Drive smart. Stay safe. And let’s try to keep everyone out of the ditch this time. ❄️

Incident Response – Tuesday, February 10th

On Tuesday, our crew was dispatched to a tractor trailer incident involving a load of steel beams that had shifted during transport.

Upon arrival, one of our supervisors assessed the situation and determined the safest and most efficient solution was to deploy our rotator to properly reset the load. The beams had shifted forward into the cab and required precise repositioning back onto the trailer.

Using our rotator’s full capabilities, we were able to safely operate over the cab while working within a single travel lane. This allowed traffic to continue flowing at a reduced speed while maintaining a secure work zone for our team to complete the job efficiently.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Norwell Police Department for their assistance with traffic control and coordination while we worked to clear the roadway as quickly and safely as possible.

Another job done safely and professionally by the Express Towing team.
