Dive Team News🤿

Today our team traded the South Shore for the city as we headed into Boston for an exciting day of water rescue training.

We had the privilege of working alongside the Boston Fire Department using our training vehicles in a hands-on rescue training environment. Today marked the first of a two-day training event, with additional opportunities for collaboration already on the horizon.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the members of the Boston Fire Department for the opportunity to train together and continue building a strong working relationship. Training alongside dedicated professionals from neighboring agencies strengthens our ability to respond effectively when emergencies happen.

Incident Response – Sunday, May 31st

This morning around 1:00 AM, we received a call from the Weymouth Police Department for a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.

Upon our night supervisor’s arrival, he encountered a tractor-trailer with its rear axle assembly completely separated from underneath the trailer, along with a heavily damaged passenger vehicle and extensive debris scattered throughout the roadway. Recognizing the complexity of the recovery, he immediately called in our on-call heavy recovery team, and they went right to work.

We can’t say thank you enough to our dedicated team members who answer the call 24/7—day or night, rain or shine (even when they’re a little grouchy from missing their beauty sleep!). Their commitment and professionalism are what allow us to provide the level of service our customers and local communities depend on.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the Weymouth Police Department for securing the scene, allowing our team to work safely, and for providing an es**rt back to our yard with the oversized load on the Landoll trailer. Their assistance helped ensure the recovery was completed safely and efficiently.

BEACH SEASON IS HERE ☀️🏖️

Incident Response – Monday, May 25th

Today we were called by the Duxbury Police Department to assist with a vehicle stuck on the beach. Although we have our own skid steer capabilities, ours is equipped with wheels rather than tracks, making it less than ideal for the soft sand conditions. Since our wrecker also could not safely reach the vehicle, we reached out to our good friends for assistance with a tracked skid steer.

With the tracked skid steer, we were able to drive directly onto the beach and safely recover the vehicle without causing any damage or getting any of our own equipment stuck.

We want to give a huge thank you to Performance Towing for the quick assist, and to the Duxbury Police Department for the call and for helping keep the area clear so we could work safely.

Another successful recovery in the books!

From everyone here at the Express Towing team, we want to take this weekend to honor and remember all who have served and those who are currently serving our country. We thank each and every one of you for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

While taking time to remember our veterans — past and present — we also want to remind everyone to stay safe and plan ahead if you’re attending a cookout, celebration, or party this weekend. We’d rather not meet you on the side of the road after a crash, and as nice as all of our local police officers are, we’re sure you probably don’t want to spend your holiday weekend with them either!

As always, our team will be out and available in full force, ready to assist with any towing or transport needs throughout the weekend.

Enjoy the long weekend (for most of you), stay safe, and take a moment to remember what Memorial Day is truly about. 🇺🇸

INCIDENT RESPONSE – Tuesday April 14th

Today our team was called in to assist on a mobile crane rollover — not due to operator error.

Our rotator was dispatched along with our operator, heavy-duty supervisor, and support crew to handle rigging and recovery. The situation was handled safely and efficiently, and we’re glad to report no injuries.

Big thank you to C.J Shaugnessy Crane Service for trusting us to assist them in getting the job done right.

This marks our teams 4th mobile crane rollover recovery — experience matters when it counts.

We’ve recently added three new trucks to our fleet! As we continue expanding our coverage area, our goal remains the same—providing the highest level of service to all of our customers.

Incident Response – Friday, February 27th

Today our heavy crew was dispatched to a tractor trailer that struck a mobile crane.

Upon arrival with two of our heavy wreckers, our operators found the tractor trailer stuck in the snow and in contact with the crane.

To safely recover the unit, we utilized both heavy wreckers to prevent any further movement or damage to the crane. While some may view this as a simple winch-out, there was much more involved.

As the tractor trailer was pulled forward out of the snow, the rear of the trailer naturally wanted to rotate sideways during the turn. If that rotation occurred too soon, it could have caused additional damage to the crane.

To prevent that, we applied controlled pulls from both ends simultaneously — stabilizing the trailer while freeing it from the snow. Once we created enough clearance, we allowed the unit to safely complete its rotation and exit the scene without further incident.

Another safe and calculated recovery completed by our heavy team.
