A partial list of duties includes: Review specifications, contract/RFP documents, and water quality data to prepare preliminary process designs; Develop Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams; Conduct R&D/treatability studies on sample water (as needed) to assess feasibility, efficiency, and efficacy of process designs. On May 29, EPA Region 9 issued a Safe Drinking Water Act Section 1431 Unilateral Administrative Order to the U.S. Air Force and the Arizona Air National Guard, related to their responsibilities for protecting drinking water supplies in Tucson, including communities with environmental justice concerns.
